Project narrative

On June 15, 2023, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Uganda Limited administered the collaboration between contractors involved in the Kingfisher Oilfield Project to collectively donate $500,000 to the Entebbe Children Welfare School, an institution dedicated to educating vulnerable and disadvantaged children with disabilities. The donation was structured as follows: China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC): $50,000 (record #107720); China Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) (record #107721) and China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC) (record #107722): $150,000; Daqing Oil Field Company: $150,000 (record #106967); China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL): $150,000 (record #107723). This financial contribution is earmarked for the construction of additional classrooms and staff housing, aiming to enhance the school's infrastructure and provide a more conducive learning environment for its over 120 pupils. This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of CNOOC Uganda Limited and its partners to foster sustainable development and support educational advancement in Ugandan communities.
