Project narrative

On June 16, 2023, the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism co-organized a training on Value Added Tax Management and Reform with China International Development Cooperation Agency. The training was held at the 12366 Beijing Tax Service Center, and was intended to help developing countries improve their tax consulting and publicity capabilities. The training was attended by 31 officials from 7 countries, including Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Nepal, and Sudan. The Value Added Tax Management and Reform training was the fourth in a series of seven tax-themed trainings organized by the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism and China International Development Cooperation Agency in 2023.
