Staff comments

1. According to the UNICEF COVID-19 Vaccine Market Dashboard, the price of a single Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine dose is $18 (https://www.oecd.org/officialdocuments/publicdisplaydocumentpdf/?cote=DCD/DAC/STAT(2022)33&docLanguage=En). As such, AidData has estimated the monetary value of the February 2021 donation as $13,824,000. 2. The sources indicate a donation of protective clothing and ventilators, however it does not include a quantity. As a result, AidData cannot estimate a transaction cost for this part of the donation, and therefore has only coded the transaction cost to represent the value of the vaccine donation. This issue warrants further investigation.
