Project narrative

On April 5, 2023, the Chinese Embassy distributed food packages to 1,500 families at Gangarama Temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This donation was part of the "Faxian Great Wish Charity Project" which was initiated by the Buddhist Association of China. According to the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, the donation is intended to foster support and cooperation between Buddhist communities in both countries. This donation occurred during the Sri Lanka Full Moon Festival.
