Project narrative

In July of 2023, the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism co-organized the sixth tax-themed training of 2023 with China International Development Cooperation Agency. The training comprised a lecture from the Guangdong Provincial Taxation Bureau on promoting development with a first-class tax business environment and a visit to the tax service hall of the Haizhu District Taxation Bureau in Guangzhou and the tax service hall of the Dongguan Citizen Service Center, among others. The training was intended to help developing countries learn about the construction and operation of smart tax service halls. The training was attended by 17 officials from Togo, Ethiopia, Sudan, Nigeria, Zambia and Egypt. The training was the sixth in a series of seven tax-themed trainings organized by the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism and China International Development Cooperation Agency. Other trainings are captured in Record ID #107619, #107711, #107729, #107732, and #107731.
