Project narrative

In 2018, the Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark visited Vanuatu for a medical mission. This was the second such mission to Vanuatu, the first being in 2014 (record #39362) and the third in 2023 (record #103999). It arrived at Port Vila on July 23. While there, the team on the ship provided medical services, sending teams to local schools, towns, and hospitals to work with local medical staff on diagnosis, treatment, and other health services. The ship stayed in Vanuatu for 8 days.
