Project narrative

On March 9, 2023, a hybrid handover ceremony for the donation of emergency food aid was held. The food aid consisted of 50kg bags of rice, although the number of bags and their overall value are unknown. Tan Wenhong, Deputy Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Wang Qing, Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, and Theresa Dick, Sierra Leone's Deputy Minister of Agriculture gave speeches at the ceremony. Other officials from the Ministry of Commerce, CIDCA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security also attended the hybrid event.
