Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In 2023, China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) and Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) launched a Welding School in Karachi under the K-IV Greater Karachi Water Supply Scheme to address the local shortage of skilled welders. The school has trained 124 students since its launch, with 61 graduates all securing jobs. Each training session lasts seven days and is led by Chinese welding experts to improve local technical skills. The initiative aims to support the K-IV project, which is critical for resolving Karachi’s water shortage.
