Project narrative

In September 2023, 15 students from Karakoram International University (KIU) Hunza campus received financial aid under the China-Pakistan Friendship–Ambassadorial Scholarship. The program, supported by the Chinese Embassy, annually awards 140 scholarships to deserving KIU students across its campuses. Under the Chinese Ambassadorial Program, 140 scholarships are disbursed every year to the students of KIU main campus and its sub-campuses. This scholarship was funded by a grant worth Rs. 7 million awarded to KIU on August 30, 2023, by the Chinese Embassy. At least 50% of the students receiving scholarships are women and girls.
