Project narrative

On March 8, 2020, the Shanghai Electric Wasit Power Plant Project Department donated 40,000 surgical masks to the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity for the use of Wasit power plant employees. The Wasit plant was originally constructed by Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited, with construction beginning in 2010 and final handover occurring in 2018. Shanghai Electric is also responsible for the maintenance of the plant. See record #107739 for more information.
