Project narrative

On March 2, 2023, the China-Pakistan Joint Lab on Wheat Molecular Breeding was opened. The project is funded by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) under the ministry's Science and Technology Partnership program. The monetary value of this project is unknown. The lab will be located at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), where researchers will collaborate with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) to work on Pakistan's food security issues. The program will also provide training to Pakistani wheat scientists (see Record ID#107788).
