Project narrative

In 2018, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) launched a scholarship program selecting 30 outstanding high school graduates from regions along the Kyrgyzstan-China Gas Pipeline. These students were enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program in oil and gas engineering at Xi'an Shiyou University (Xi'an Petroleum University) in China. The scholarships covered tuition, accommodation, and living expenses. Upon graduation, the students were expected to work in pipeline operation and management positions within the project company, enhancing local expertise and contributing to the sustainable operation of the Kyrgyzstan-China Gas Pipeline.
