Project narrative

On January 18, 2023, the Chinese Government and the Government of Cuba signed an RMB 700 million grant agreement for the Emergency Cash Support Project. The agreement was signed by Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment and China’s Minister of Commerce. The purpose of the project is to provide emergency cash support to the Government of Cuba.
