Project narrative

On June 12, 2023, the Chinese Academy of Sciences donated an "Easy-Maintenance Water Plant" to Metihakka in Matale, Sri Lanka. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. The water plant or refinery is an advanced water purifier that clears water of earths, clay, and other particles. The refinery will be maintained by the Department of Community Water Supply and purify 120,000 liters of ground water daily.
