Full Description

Project narrative

On May 27, 2023, the “Warm Children's Hearts: A China-Africa Joint Action” event took place at the Centre d’Accueil Pour Enfants en Difficultes Sociales d’Angondje (CAPEDS: Angondjé Children's Welfare Institute). During this event, the Chinese Embassy donated care packages to nearly a hundred children at the welfare institute (record #104010). The 24th Chinese medical team also provided children with health check-ups (as recorded in this project). “Warm Children's Hearts: A China-Africa Joint Action,” also known as " "China-Africa Hand in Hand to Warm Children's Hearts," is an initiative implemented by the Chinese first lady Prof Peng Liyuan, together with the organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) with the aim of conveying warmth and care to African orphans on the occasion of International Children's Day.
