Project narrative

On March 25, 2022, the Chinese government agreed to help the government of Antigua and Barbuda to set up a narcotics lab in Port St. John's and to ship equipment there and assist in installing it and training the local staff. On December 30, 2023, the Chinese government delivered the equipment to Port St. John's. The Antiguan and Barbudan government was responsible for duty exemption, customs clearance, pickup, transportation, and storage of the equipment back to the lab. The equipment included a Raman spectroscopy drug detection terminal set, a trace drug detector set, 2 drug scene investigation boxes, a whole biological sample drug analyzer set, a handheld drug detector, an oscillator, a set of ultrasonic cleaning instruments, a set of electronic balances, and a drying oven. The monetary value of this donation is unknown.
