Project narrative

On June 15, 2023, the Lancang-Mekong fund provided USD 2 million to Cambodia for implementation of nine projects. Then, in December 2023, the Mekong Institute and the Cambodia Ministry of Public Works and Transport began implementation on a Transportation and Logistics Information System in Lancang-Mekong Region project. The project has a total budget of USD 269,960. The project's purpose is to create an information system on commercial logistics in LMC countries in order to facilitate trade. Its implementation consists of modular training on the scope of the project, the collection of data to be input into the new system, and the development of the system itself. An inception meeting was held between the Mekong Institute and the General Department of Logistics (GDL) at Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) on June 12, 2025.
