Project narrative

In September 2023, China Development Bank (CDB) and Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement (BOAD, or the West African Development Bank) signed a EUR 150 million credit facility agreement for on-lending purposes. The loan proceeds were intended to finance transport infrastructure, information and communication technology (ICT), renewable energy, health, education, agriculture, and food security projects across West Africa.
