Project narrative

On August 31, 2023, a $1.5 billion revolving credit facility was made available to both Infraestructura Energética Nova, S.A.B de C.V. (IEnova) and Sempra Infrastructure Partners, LP (SI Partners) by a group of banks for general corporate purposes. Participants in the syndicate include Bank of China, Scotiabank, Bank of America, BBVA, Santander, Credit Agricole Group, JP Morgan, Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Banamex, Wells Fargo, and Standard Chartered Bank. Bank of China reportedly contributed $75 million to the syndicate. The facility carries a 5-year maturity and an interest rate of SOFR plus 90 bps, including a credit adjustment spread. The facility is accessible to both IEnova and SI Partners, with a combined borrowing limit of $1.5 billion. IEnova's individual borrowing limit is $1,365 million (with funds provided by only 11 of the 12 lenders on the syndicate), while SI Partners' individual borrowing limit is $1.5 billion (with funds provided by all 12 lenders). As of December 31, 2023, $546 million was outstanding, and $954 million was available under the credit facility.
