Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology sponsors first 'International Training Workshop on Demonstration and Promotion of Vegetable Varieties and Technologies for Latin American Countries' at the University of Costa Rica

From March 12 to 23, 2018, the first "International Training Workshop to Demonstrate and Promote New Technologies and Vegetable Varieties for Latin American Countries" was held at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) in San José. The event was hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, Anhui Jianghuai Horticulture Seeds Co., Ltd., Anhui Agricultural University, UCR's Center for Grain and Seed Research (CIGRAS), and UCR's Agricultural Research Institute (IIA). The workshop focused on enhancing the technical capacity of agricultural personnel from Costa Rica, Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador, Ecuador, Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras, with training in seed technologies, grain quality, and modern agricultural production techniques.
