Project narrative

On July 10, 2007, Eduardo Mondlane University, represented by Vice-Chancellor Filipe Couto, and the Sichuan Agricultural University of China signed a memorandum of understanding, under which the Chinese university would provide support to training students in rural development, agronomy, veterinary science, and engineering. The new school will begin operations in the Vilankulo district in February of 2008, and will initially accommodate 300 students. The new school opened in 2008.
