Full Description

Project narrative

In January 2012, the Chinese government signed a N$15 million grant to Namibia to assist with aquaculture development. The Namibian Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources will utilize this grant for aquaculture and fisheries research and to purchase equipment and machinery. The funding was part of a total N$50 million grant through the 2012 Economic and Technical Agreement signed between Namibia and China through the National Planning Commission. Of the N$50 million, N$35 Million of this grant was allocated for the Hardap Inland Aquaculture Center (#41578).
