Project narrative

On August 7, 2010, a Chinese delegation led by Huang Ke Qian, president of Qinghai Branch of Chinese Development Bank (CDB) held discussions with officials from the Ethiopian Development Bank (EDB) on ways of cooperation in capacity building activities at financial institutions. The two sides agreed to share experience and exchange information in the area of risk management and other related areas. Tian Weijun, director of Training Department with the Chinese Development Bank (CDB), told Xinhua after the discussions that the Chinese delegates have mainly discussed the training programs the CDB intends to offer to staff of the EDB. Genene Ruga, Vice President of Corporate Service with EDB, said that they agreed that 24 or 25 staff members would be trained in October 2010. The status of the training is uncertain.
