Project narrative

Starting in January 2007, several African countries including Zambia were hit with massive floods that killed hundreds and displaced thousands. In early February 2007 during Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Zambia, the Chinese government donated $150,000 USD in cash to the Government of Zambia to support flood relief victims.
