Full Description

Project narrative

In April of 2010, the groundbreaking ceremony for a Highway Interchange was held in the Western Province and the Rift Valley Province. The road is expected to be 20 km long with a contract duration of 7 months. Approximately 13.5 km of the road is to be repaired while the contractor will add a new 6.3 km of road. The project aims to provide a more convenient and efficient channel between Kisumu and Eldoret. Further details are unknown. The Chinese government has provided this assistance free of charge. It appears that the project could be linked to an African Development Fund road project in Eldoret.
