Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In January of 2007, the Kenya Kissel (also likely known as the Kisii road) sand road constructed by China Wuyi Company Ltd. was handed over to the Kenyan government. The project began in October of 2002 and was completed 115 days in advance of the deadline. The road is 53 km in length and worth roughly 117 million Yuan, funds financed by the construction company. China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation's Foreign Aid Department reportedly pledged a guarantee of 10% of the project funds or 11.7 million CNY. Wuyi was to sign an internal construction contract with the Department of Foreign Aid. It is unclear exactly where the road is located.
