Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

During President Mugabe's visit to China in July 2005, the Chinese Government increased the number of annual scholarships given to the Zimbabwean students by eight. In 2004, eleven students had been studying in China, so the expectation was that up to nineteen scholarships would be given out in 2005. Information regarding the completion of this commitment and the value of the scholarships are unclear.
