Since 1973, the Chinese Government has been dispatching medical teams to Tunisia (see '驻突尼斯使馆火正德大使看望我援突医疗队'). The Jiangxi Province is responsible for sending the teams (see '江西省历批援外医疗队员名单'). On May 17, 2010, the Chinese Government and the Government of Tunisia signed an agreement to dispatch the 19th Chinese medical team to Tunisia (see '中突签订新的经济技术合作协定'). The medical team consisted of 45 members team, including 8 members from the 18th medical team (see '江西省卫生厅为第19批中国援突医疗队举办欢送会'). It was stationed at Jendouba regional hospital (Hôpital Régional De Jendouba or المستشفى الجهوي بجندوبة), Sidi Bouzid regional hospital (Hôpital Régional De Sidi Bouzid or المستشفى الجهوي بسيدي بوزيد), and Mongi Slim Hospital (Hôpital Mongi Slim or مستشفى المنجي سليم) in the northern suburbs of Tunis. It completed its two-year term of service between October 2010 and 2012 (see '江西第19批援突尼斯医疗队启程').
