Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On January 14, 2009, Rwandan President Paul Kagame and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi agreed for China to fund the construction and operationalization of a rice processing plant in Rwamagana. A report from March 30, 2012, said the plant in Rwamagana, with an hourly capacity of 2-3 tons, had been built with assistance from the Chinese government. The amount and start and end dates are unknown. This financing was likely signed through an ETCA on the same date (captured in #57517).
