Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 20, 2009, China's National People's Congress (NPC) donated digital recording and conferencing equipment worth $150,000 USD to the Parliament of Zimbabwe, to be used for recording parliamentary proceedings. Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Yuan Nansheng, handed over the equipment to Zimbabwe's Speaker of Parliament, Lovemore Moyo, at a brief ceremony at the Parliament Building. Moyo thanked the NPC for the donation, noting that relations between the two countries dated back to the time when Zimbabwe was still fighting for its independence. This project is completed.
