In June 2009, the Chinese Government agreed to send 10 senior Chinese agricultural experts to Zimbabwe to provide technical assistance related to grain production, animal disease prevention and control, dryland farming, and irrigation. The ten senior Chinese agricultural experts arrived in Zimbabwe on October 25, and were to serve from October 2009 to October 2010 and provide assistance at the Chinese Government-financed Agricultural Technological Demonstration Center (ATDC) of Gwebi Agricultural College.
