Project narrative

On August 28, 2003, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed a contract with the Sudanese government for the joint establishment of a Geophysics Research and Development Center. On July 14, 2004, the Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting (BGP Inc.), a subsidiary of CNPC, established the Center jointly with Sudan’s Khartoum University and donated USD 500,000 in support of the Center. The start date and cost of construction of the center is unknown.
