Description

On 26 April, 2010, the governments of China and Zimbabwe signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreement to develop an electricity-generation hydro-power facility at Batoka Gorge on the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe alongside Sino Hydro of China (See: China to Finance Kariba South Expansion). The project cost is estimated at $3 billion USD, however it is unclear if China committed funds for the project.
