Project narrative

On September 13, 2000, it was reported that, the Chinese Government committed to establishing the Zambia Investment Center (or Chinese Center for Investment Promotion and Trade) in Lusaka. The grant-funded facility cost $2.4 million USD to construct and its purpose was to screen investors from China. The facility was opened on 25 June 2001.
