Full Description

Project narrative

On June 7, 2000, Sudan's Minister of State for External Relations, Mr Ali Abd al-Rahman al-Numayri, received a check of 30,000 USD from the Chinese government and the Chinese Red Cross society. The donation was to express solidarity with the Sudanese people and government following the influx of refugees into eastern Sudan as a result of the Ethiopian-Eritrean war. The breakdown of funding between the Red Cross and the government is unknown. The current status and start and end dates are unknown.
