Project narrative

On 5 November 2004, the Chinese Government signed an agreement to provide digital equipment worth $500,000 USD to upgrade the mobile phone equipment of the Zambia Telecommunication Company Ltd. (ZAMTEL). ZTE was the contractor responsible for the provision of the equipment. It is unclear if the Chinese Government followed through on this commitment.
