Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On December 29, 2011, the Chinese Government and Government Zambia signed 3 letters of exchange, one of which was for the provision of extra medical equipment and supplies to the Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital worth RMB 10 million. This donation was officially handed over to Zambian authorities on September 17, 2013. The two other letters of exchange that were signed are captured in projects #15507 and #15518.

Staff comments

The Chinese project title is 援赞比亚卢萨卡综合医院提供医疗设备和医用物资事. It is unclear if these letters of exchange are related to the 2 Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreements (ETCAs) signed on December 12, 2011 — one for a grant and another for an interest-free loan.
