Project narrative

On June 1, 2009 in Khartoum, Sudan, the Chinese special envoy for Sudan for the Darfur issue, Liu Guijin, met today with the Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir to attend the signing ceremony of a humanitarian aid grant for the three states of Darfur of 20 million CNY. The aid agreement was signed by Sudan's State Minister at the Ministry of International Cooperation, Elias Niamlel, and the Chinese Ambassador to Sudan, in the presence of Liu Guijin. The current status of the donation and start and end dates are unknown.
