Description

On December 28, 2009, during a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for the Elections, Dr Abdallah Ahmad Abdallah, the Chinese Ambassador to Sudan announced China would donate 3 million USD in cash assistance to support the upcoming elections in Sudan. In January 2010, China reiterated its commitment to provide this cash assistance to Sudan for its election in an exchange of letters signed by Chinese Ambassador to Sudan and the Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for the Elections, in which China also promised material assistance (#56848). This aid appears to have been received by Sudan.
