Project narrative

On November 18, 2010, China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) Nile Vice President, Qin Anjiang, and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) Secretary General, Yang Qinghai, signed an agreement to fund the organization carrying out poverty relief project in Sudan. Chinese ambassador to Sudan Li Chengwen, CNPC Nile President Sun Xiansheng and Deputy Director-General of CNPC International Department Pei Ying were present at the signing ceremony. According to the Safer World source, the donation amount was $600,000 USD and was given to finance CFPA's poverty relief in Khartoum. The value of the project, as well as the status and the start and end dates are unknown.
