Chinese Government provides RMB 75.57 million grant for House of Chadian Women Construction Project

Project narrative

On September 6, 2011, the Chinese Government and the Government of Chad signed an agreement related to the House of Chadian Women Construction Project. China’s Ministry of Commerce was the source of funding and it committed RMB 75.57 million in total. The project involved the construction of a house covering 4198 square meters with three buildings, 10 training rooms, a gym, a volleyball pitch and other facilities. China Shandong International Economic and Technical Cooperation Corporation was the contractor responsible for implementation. On November 10, 2012, a formal groundbreaking ceremony took place. However, construction did not begin until December 5, 2012. The project passed final MOFCOM inspection on June 24, 2014 and it was officially completed an handed over to the Government of Chad on March 1, 2015.
