Project narrative

On February 27, 2012, the Chinese government pledged to donate equipment to the Maputo Military Hospital valued at a total of 20 million CNY (about 3.2 million USD). The equipment included both medical and office equipment (X-ray machines, scanners, and ultrasound machines), which should arrive between September and November of 2012. The agreement was signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Mozambican Defense Ministry, Maj-Gen Teofilo Joao, and the director of military cooperation in the Chinese Defense Ministry, Qian Li Hua. Reports from 2013 indicate that two donations were carried out in 2012 by the Chinese government to the Military Hospital. Related to Record ID#85219.
