Full Description

Project narrative

On August 21, 2013, officials from the Chinese Embassy in Sudan met with the Sanad Charity Foundation in Khartoum to provide humanitarian aid including blankets, mosquito nets, shelter, and other materials to people in the Karary locality, north of Khartoum, affected by rain and flooding. The same day, Chinese Embassy officials and representatives from Chinese-funded enterprises in Sudan traveled to Karary to deliver relief supplies. The assistance provided by the Chinese Embassy was worth about 300,000 Sudanese pounds (about $68,000 USD).
