Project narrative

On August 7, 2013, China Electric Power Construction Group announced that its subsidiary Sinohydro Group will invest in and build a social security housing project in Menongue. This is a livelihood project implemented by the Angolan government to alleviate the domestic housing shortage. Sinohydro, responsible for investing, designing and building, will build 1,000 houses and supporting facilities covering life, education, transportation, electricity and water in phase 1. The construction area reaches about 89,500 and the land area is 367,650 square meters. The amount of funding for this project is unknown.
