On June 23, 2007, the Chinese Government donated two THSCAN mobile container and vehicle inspection systems for use in Kyambogo, Uganda. The donation was worth a total of $5,479,000 USD. The equipment was provided by Nuctech Company Limited. As of April 7, 2020, the Aid Management Platform (AMP) of the Government of Uganda's Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development recorded the full amount of the grant commitment as being disbursed.
