Project narrative

In September 2013, China and Somalia signed a cooperation agreement in Mogadishu for China to rebuild Mogadishu Stadium. Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Somalia Fawsiya Yusuf Haji Aden and the Chinese ambassador to Kenya Liu Guangyuan signed the agreement which outlines a five year recovery plan, signed the agreement which outlines a five year recovery plan, including rebuilding the National Theater (Record ID#31069), the Banadir Hospital (Record ID#31068) and a road between Galkayo and Burao (Record ID#31070), besides this stadium. Mogadishu Stadium was reopened in the summer of 2020 with support from the Chinese government.
