Project narrative

In September 2013, the Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia and the Foreign Minister, Fawsiya Yusuf Haji Aden, and the Chinese ambassador to Kenya Liu Guanguan officially signed a cooperation agreement by which China will provide a five year plan to help recovery in Somalia. According to Ambassador Liu, China will rebuild three main facilities in Somalia including mother and child health hospital (Record ID#31067), Mogadishu Stadium (Record ID#31068), the National Theatre (Record ID#31069) as well as the road between Galkayo and Burao in northern Somalia (recorded in this project). The form of the pledged aid as well as the current status of the project are unknown.
