Project narrative

In May 2013, Mozambique News Agency reported that Mozambican president Armando Guebuza had secured financing promises for several road projects during his several visits to China. One of the road projects includes a road from Cuamba to Marrupa, which China financed for US$184 million. The other road projects signed that day include (1) $300 million USD for road linked to Maputo ring road (#30376), (2) $427 million USD for a road linking the city of Beira to Machipanda (#31066), (3) $278 million USD Bene to Zumbo (#31132), (4) $196 million USD from Inchope to Caia (#31133), (5) $180 million USD from Moamba to Manjacaze (#31135), (6) $139 million USD from Fudzi to Nhamapaza (#31136), (7) $120 million USD from Chimuara to Namacurra (#31137), and (8) $118 million USD from Macossa to EN1 highway (#31138).
