Full Description

Project narrative

On January 30, 2008, Chongqing Normal University and the Kigali Institute of Education (at the the University of Rwanda) signed an agreement to construct a Confucius institute on its campus. Hanban supported the agreement and played a role in the construction of the institute along with the other parties. On June 26, 2009, the Confucius Institute officially opened and commenced operation. There is no information on the allocation of funds or the particular responsibility/role of each party involved.
