Full Description

Project narrative

On March 26, 2013 an agreement was signed for the establishment of a Confucius Institute at Durban University of Technology in South Africa. This project was funded by Hanban, an organization funded by the Chinese government in which Chinese educational institutions partner with other schools around the world to establish Confucius Institutes. The cooperating Chinese school for this project was Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. This project was completed in 2014 and the institute began operating on February 20, 2014.
